Where is the SiMT located?

Our state-of-the-art facilities are located on a 146-acre campus in Florence, South Carolina, two miles west of Interstate 95 on Highway 52.

How can the SiMT help expand my company's services?

Most manufacturing firms do not have the resources to own a wide variety of machines that may be only used occasionally. No. The Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology works with national and international firms every week.

What is 3D printing?

3D printing or additive manufacturing is any of various processes of making a three-dimensional object from a 3D model or other electronic data source primarily through additive processes in which successive layers of material are laid down under computer control.

Do you just make prototypes or can you produce machined parts in quantities?

The SiMT state-of-the-art machine shop can work with your designs to produce one or thousands of precision machined parts. We can also aid you in designing and/or troubleshooting the part you need.

We are planning to host training sessions at the SiMT.
Do we need to bring our own computer projection equipment?

No. All training rooms at the SiMT are fully equipped with plug-and-play audio visual equipment and screens at no additional cost.

How many people does the auditorium accommodate?

The Pee Dee Electric Auditorium is a multimedia presentation theater that seats up to 808 people.
